I'm old so I focus more on how many runs a guy gets home. Myers had 100 hits and drove in 24. Walker had 139 hits and drove in 88. In 2024 Alvarez had 170 hits and drove in 86. I just look at it differently I guess.

Walker left 284 runners on base.
Meyers left 133 runners on base.

Simple stats like RBIs dont tell a full story, especially when comparing a 4-hole hitter against an 8/9-hole hitter.

Walker had 242 more ABs than Jake. Any counting stat is going to be slanted heavily in his favor, whether it's RBIs or runners LOB.

That's fair. I'm not saying it's an unimportant stat… But typically the four hole hitter gets the most RBI opportunities. I'm more focused on the times that Walker did not come through in that spot. Not to mention he also patted some of those stats at the very end of the season when the chance to make the playoffs was pretty much done

He had a .237 batting average with runners in scoring position. So imagine how many RBI he would've had if his average was about 20 points higher (.257-.260)… Which is what I would consider to be average for an MLB player.
