Just watched highlights of the young and rebuilding Cardinals come from behind to win. Down 7-1 and came back to win. Gotta be exciting for STL fans.

Espada is at the UH game and their offense all of a sudden can't score (24-22 at the half)
Well, I guess the good news for not having a provider that carries Astros games is I won't have to watch many like that one. When I saw the box score I wondered why Hunter didn't make it 5 innings. Decided to check the statcast...Walker swinging a fast bat, and Cam had an 80 mph swing. That's a good sign, I guess.

I'm not in panic mode by any stretch, but I wonder if Cam is an every day player or is he a platoon guy? He struggled mightily against RHP last year. One game is not a trend this year but if in May he's still having big splits, you have to start thinking of maybe a Cole/Cam tandem.
Lots of crazy extrapolations from a single game. I especially like the talk of trends after game one of the season.

I listened while making answer keys for a quiz I'm giving today and making the answer keys was more entertaining…hope the Yordan HR-turned-foul ball isn't an omen for the rest of the season.

EARLY LEAD: Congrats to rausr and JYDog90 for each picking up a square yesterday by picking the team to lose Opening Day. It will be a while until anyone has another chance, unless the team loses 6 in a row, wins 6 in a row, Paredes gets traded, or the team finishes April in first place.
SHAME: On all of you who picked Joey Loperfido to play fewer than 100 games this year. Guy has an OPS of 1.250. He's an All-Star!
THE HUNTED: 9 K and an ERA of 0.00 look good on Hunter Brown. Since the algorithm assumes he's going to play every day, he's currently on pace for 1,458 strikeouts.
SILVER LININGS SCORECARD: The Strangers and the Soy Lattes both lost as well yesterday.
SWEET SWEET FANTASY BABY: Through 2 games, my reverse sabotage strategy is working. I drafted Judge and Raleigh in the first 3 rounds of my Fantasy Baseball draft and they are a combined 0 for 8 with 7 strikeouts so far.
TAKING SATISFACTION IN OTHERS' FAILURES: Seattle's bullpen imploded late last night against the Indians. They led 3-2 into the 6th inning and lost 6-4. The Rangers' offense looked as bad as ours until they scored 3 in the ninth. They had 3 hits and 10 K vs. the Phillies' starter in a 5-3 loss.
