Bryan Abreu got a save! He's up to 4 save/holds for the year
Chicks dig the long ball Yordan's on pace for 52, Walker for 38, Cole up to a pace for 10, technically. But Cole has 3 since being called up May 4th in Game 36 of the season. Which means Cole has played 1/10th of a 126-games left schdule. That pace (3 in 12 games) would put him on pace for 31 for the rest of the year. That's more than Yordan hit in his rookie year.
Astros hit 4 HR off a guy that I've read on TexAgs is the greatest pitcher in human history.

It was a long shot to start with due to Covid and some poorly timed injuries.

I think if he gets to 2,850ish he will still make the hall. Just not first ballot. Him breaking the postseason HR record would help his case as well

In yours and our defense. We thought HB would be healthy, Imai would live up to his contract, Javier would be better and Abreu wouldn't be horrendous.

Ideally the staff would be just fine if 3 of those 4 things happened like we thought they would on paper

It's bittersweet doing this with Jose's status unknown, especially with our moronic medical staff involved.
But Jose tied Kenny Lofton for 122nd on the all-time hit list yesterday at 2,428. Lofton, on the Astros Mount Rushmore of " I can't believe we effed that up" next to Bobby Abreu, was an Astro for all of 20 games in 1991 before our passion for a left-handed catcher who couldn't hit his weight sent him to Cleveland.

Then we stood around like a bunch of friggin' idiots as he won AL ROY next year, hitting .285 with 66 steals. Lofton led the league in steals each of the next four seasons. In 1994, lost in the strike-shortened HR derby, he hit .349, led the AL in WAR (7.2) and in 112 games had 105 runs, 160 hits, 32 doubles, 9 triples, 12 HR, and 60 steals.
He was on paces that year for 152 runs scored, 231 hits, 46 doubles, and 87 steals before the strike happened.

By the end of his 17-year career, he had amassed 622 steals, 2,428 hits, and 1,528 runs scored with a career .299 average. He played in 20 playoff series, but never won a World Series ing.The Indians lost to the Braves in 1995 and the Giants lost to the Angles in 2002. In the '95 ALCS against the Mariners, he hit .458 with a 1.142 OPS.

He is 15th all-time in steals. Felt like he suffered Berkman-itis when his first shot at the HOF came up in 2013. On the ballot were future HOFers Biggio, Jack Morris, Bagwel, Mike Piazza, Tim Raines, lee Smith, Edgar Martinez, Alan Trammell, Larry walker, and Fred McGriff, along with Schillling, Clemens, Sosa, and Bonds all on their first ballots.

Lofton received just 18 total votes for 3.2% of the vote.
