The lady that thought she was sitting near an imaginary person on an AA flight from Dallas?

She kept saying that they weren't "real."

And that's exactly why I want to know more- this is much more hush hush seems like. You can usually hear or read what happened to an unruly passenger or whatever. But there's Nothing . Nowhere. Nada.

Crazy stuff. I wonder if this was a hallucination caused by some type of drug (i.e. ecstasy, lsd, etc) or if this was a person experiencing some type of *****zophrenic break-down. She looked completely normal and put together (antics aside).

I grew up w/a lady (3 years older) who we've been monitoring online recently. She's clearly suffering some type of psychotic breakdown. Convinced everyone is in a conspiracy to ruin her life (starting w/the govt and going down from there). Any 'friend' she presents evidence too tells her she needs to seek help. Those people then become part of the conspiracy.

It is scary, sad, and you can't not watch for updates on her social media as she travels across the country to DC to "get answers".

Back to the thread topic - if this flight was heading to Orlando, can you imagine this lady's reaction to finding herself at Disney or Universal? That "you aren't real" episode would be epic

If someone did that while I was on a plane, I would have gotten off that plane while she was still rantin' as fast as I could go. No way i'd fly after all that.

Flying absolutely brings out the crazy in some people and it's been 10x worse since COVID.

Not terribly uncommon for people who are schizophrenic. When they are on the right med combination they can be perfectly normal. But typically they decide they "aren't crazy" and don't need their meds any more, at which point, they go nuts. And anybody who is around them who tries to get them back on the meds becomes part of the conspiracy to harm them in their minds. They can hear voices, they will imagine things that are simply not true/not happening, and nothing you can say to them will convince them that it isn't absolutely real. She needs help, and meds.

Exactly. We are all pointing and laughing at a person who is mostly likely seriously mentally ill.

Sadly, the issue of mental illness has been consumed by today's low level depression and anxiety, but if you have ever sat and tried to have a rational conversation with a schizophrenic person, you'll understand it is no laughing matter.

Delusional people are very easily swayed by stories they see on tv or elsewhere. Simply seeing the movie Signs was enough to set off a years long phobia of going outside or being near windows after dark for one person I knew.
