We own an acre+ on the Guadalupe just upriver from where Hwy 281 crosses the river. The Guadalupe is bone dry at our place. Not even muddy in the middle of the channel.

Any more recent first hand accounts? Seems the flowrate on the Guad is staying steady. Heading down next weekend (8/10-13)

Last weekend we kayaked from L&L on down to where we were staying at Soggy Dollar campgrounds. Kayaks scraped bottom in two locations but never had to get out. The tubers we went through didn't seem to have any issues but they were going pretty slow. Some staying at our campgrounds said it was about a 4-5 hour float

Thanks for the intel! Sounds like we'll be in decent shape.

Post-horseshoe (and the horseshoe from what I could see) were great. Ability to "float" but even ability to just sit in the river and hang out was great. You won't be disappointed.

*Update: Made it to the Shane Smith and the Saints concert at Whitewater… wow. What an amazing show. I started tearing up a bit when he said "this is a song from an artist that inspired me and I always wanted to play with but never could"… and they started playing Feelin' Good Again by REK.

Turnpike Troubadours cover was great. Finale was great.

I had buddies that had never floated the 'lupe and never been to that venue.

Dinner at River Rose before (with 4 buckets of beer) and concert after was quite a bit of hill country nostalgia. This area of the state is a hidden redneck riviera gem.

Glad you got to make it to the show. Last night was the first time to see Shane smith and the saints and will definitely not be the last.

I hope the injury is not too brutal and recovery goes well. Those rocks can be slick.

We feel fortunate to live in such a beautiful area that caters to some excellent live music.

Confirmed today. The Guadalupe got the best of my leg.

Damn, that sucks.

I had a death in the family so wasn't able to make it this past weekend at all. The rest of the group I planned the trip for went and had a nice time from what I've heard.

Not the best year on the Guad for those in this thread

Man that sucks. Hopefully you are able to still be pretty mobile. Canyon lake and the Guadalupe always seems to claim a victim or two. The alcohol usually doesn't help.

Stay safe and at least you still got to go to the Shane Smith show.
