We enjoyed Serendipity 3 and also Grimaldi's underneath the Brooklyn Bridge - one of my most favorite memories about our last trip and great pizza!

A friend's brother, Stefano Secchi, is the chef at Rezdora and run, don't walk to get reservations there. Out of this world fresh pasta!

Marea is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Highly recommend

We went to a coal fired pizza place just south of Central Park. That was pretty incredible.

If you're looking to spend a little money, it's a chain but Mastro's was pretty awesome.

If you go to Katz's and are a fan of hot dogs, don't leave without having at least two

They're my absolute favorite on the planet.

Speaking of my little chest freezer has a lot of space. Might be time to place an order

We tried the Peter Luger in Brooklyn for lunch. It was was fantastic. Steak is obvious but the bacon appetizer is worth the price of admission.

That said - we've only been to NYC once so take it w/a grain of salt.
Staff - take out the trash.

If staying in Chelsea, we did a Chelsea Market food tour that was awesome. Sampled 7-8 places there in the market.

We went a couple weeks ago and wanted Rezdora but it wasn't in the cards. Settled on Tony Di Napoli's and I was impressed. John's on Time Square for pizza was really good.

Quality Italian might have been the best meal I've had. Everything we ate was delicious.

Since you'll be staying in Chelsea, definitely check out the Chelsea Market for some great food options - we did a food tour there that hit several stalls and it was a fun way to try different stuff. Some other specific recs in that area: quality Italian is supposed to be amazing for upscale Italian. Izakaya MEW or Gramercy Tavern might also be good bets. Further afield, definitely put Marea on your list - it consistently gets rave reviews. Have a great trip!

Based on this thread and another Texags thread… wife and I went to Lartusi, Marea, Best bagel and coffee, and John's on Bleeker. All really good and successful Texags recs. Will likely try juniors for cheesecake later today.
