I love the constrast between people who travel too much and people who obviously don't travel often. As someone squarely in the middle work wise, it's can be equally entertaining.
I've had my name called many times.bam02 said:

They already do that. It has zero effect.Garrelli 5000 said:
A few things they could do - louder announcements and designated waiting areas. I.e. if you are not group x, stand over there.
Wouldn't end the problem but could remove some of the clueless.
that used to be the case for me before they started charging so much for bags, etc and planes regularly run out of overhead space in no small part due to jagoffs stuffing their jackets, backpacks, and other small items that belong under the seat into it.bam02 said:

I need to make up a similar term for the same exact people who stand inches from the bag carousel starting 20 minutes before even a single bag appears. Their bags are never priority, so all they're accomplishing is stopping me from getting to mine when it comes out first. Drives me insane.
Yep, and just as bad a family of 7 standing in the middle of a busy aisle, all staring at their phones.NColoradoAG said:aglaohfour said:bam02 said:

Spot on. Why the hell can't people just stand 5 feet away from the carousel so everyone can easily grab their bag?
It does not matter the boarding group. They will always push up to the front. And I don't believe all the ones that check in as GS are just that.Aggie71013 said:
I'm got lowly silver status on United so I'm grouped with all the credit card holders in group 2.
Preboards
Group 1: 1K + first / business class
Group 2: Other United Status (Silver, Gold, etc.) + Premier Access
Group 3: Credit Card Holders

1980 vs 2019. Retro vs New. Beyond what the eye can see - our new A320neo cabins have more than 50% reduced noise, WiFi and are the most environmentally-friendly short to mid-range aircraft #flysas #TravelersOfTheFuture #aviation #ThrowbackThursday pic.twitter.com/9tVKhkxRaO

I'm 6'3". I stand up as soon as I can, especially if it's a regional jet.AustinCountyAg said:
the worst are the people who immediately stand up when the plane gets to the gate. Serves zero ****ing purpose. It helps me easily spot the idiots.
Last night we had one run from probably row 28 to the front the moment the plane stopped. Stewardess had to tell him to back away from the door.AustinCountyAg said:

I pay more to board first solely to reduce the risk of having to gate check musical instruments. The riff raff always give me ****ty looks when they realize how much bin space a bass trombone is going to consume.akaggie05 said:
You get on first to get a PDB and bin space. All other reasons are invalid.
