Working on a trip for next year. If you've been to Bora Bora what month did you go and how was the water? From what I can tell they're about as far below the equator as Cancun is above it. I've been to Cancun in November and the water is cooler than I prefer. But with them being below the equator it seems like seasons would be flipped so possibly warmer waters?

Just trying to figure out if we should proceed w/ November or maybe consider a better (warmer water) month.

We've been in March & July and the water was fine both times.

According to my Google research, you can expect water in the 80 degree range in November.

Bora Bora is southern hemisphere so their winter/high season is June-September when it's dry, sunny and the temps are a little lower. We went at the end of June years ago and it was a perfect trip but November may be a shoulder season and a decent time to go, don't know.

Water was pretty cool in June probably because you are in the middle of the Pacific, similar to Hawaii.

we are going March 8-16 and we chose March because our daughter is on spring break and it has the highest average water temp

I was there this past July. Water was low 80s...which feels a little cool when you get in but not uncomfortable at all. Then in 30 seconds you don't notice the temp and it feels good in the sun. The temps listed on the internet are pretty spot on.
