Looking for spring break destinations in US for family with a 4 year old boy. We don't think he will be interested in theme parks just yet but open to any resort or hidden gem anywhere in the lower 48 states. Thank in advance for any help.

I assume the 4 year old isn't in school so there are probably other people going on this Spring Break trip.

You didn't give us a lot to work with but I can offer that the swimming pools at the Golden Nugget in Lake Charles are heated.

Kids can do ski school at 4. Then they're worn out so you can have some fun night time

We started both of ours skiing at age three. We drove, because there are more than enough annoying people on planes without us adding to the misery. Durango, Red River, and Angelfire until the youngest was five.

They never spent a second in ski school. We wanted to teach them ourselves because we are nuts. They are both great skiers and we enjoyed every moment of teaching them. Did I mention we are nuts?

Our 4yr old loves camping and the outdoors. He loves fishing and playing in the dirt at state parks or glampimg with all the amenities at Jellystone. If you're not into camping then every kid loves the beach.
