The top five most beautiful places for me would be:

1. Tuscany in the spring/summer
2. Lake Atitlan, Guatemala
3. The Cafetero in Colombia
4. The islands of Southern Thailand
5. Central Bali

For me it's Glacier NP in Montana, but I haven't been to Switzerland or Alaska yet, but Glacier is my place for beauty.

Crater Lake - there isn't a whole lot to do there but it is just insanely beautiful. Ive never seen that deep, beautiful shade of blue anywhere else.
No lie, my only phobia in life is swimming in Crater. At Cleetwood it's like a 50' shelf of rock and then the plunge. You swim like 10' from the shelf and it's instantly 20 deg. colder. It's so clear; you can see so far; but still not the bottom. A true abyss. I can't help it, I start thinking about maybe randomly losing bodily control, but still conscious, but watching the surface get further and further away as I descend. It's primal how quickly I start swimming back.

Anyways, 2 hours north is Tamolitch Blue Pool is even more impressive color/clarity than Crater, imo! It's the mouth of the McKenzie and hard to comprehend the color. I love it in the fall when the leaves are yellow contrasting the deep blue:

I went to Glacier NP for the first time in 2022 with some of my childhood friends from Saudi Arabia and it was nice.

Before I moved to KSA, I lived in Valdez, Alaska for 3 years so I wasn't quite as impressed as my friends who had never been to Alaska.

The one thing that Montana had that Alaska couldn't touch though was the Thursday night Rodeo at the Blue Moon Cafe in Columbia Falls. That was one of the coolest experiences I've ever had.

Also really enjoyed Whitefish Mountain, Whitefish Lake and bar hopping in Whitefish. That area of Montana was pretty awesome.

Most beautiful city I have seen is Positano, Italy. It was like looking at a postcard in real life.

Well for one my Bucket list has just grown from this great post. It's hard to put a favorite down for me. Banff, Jasper Canada and the whole area was a place for me where the beauty just makes you still and inspired

Overall? Of places I have seen, Glacier/Waterton Lake park combo is way up there.

A sunset on the beach in Hanalei Bay in Kauai is pretty nice.

I'm expecting some gorgeous scenery in Rocky Mountain National Park when I visit there next week.

There are some seriously beautiful shots already shared here.

But come on, this is an A&M site. No love for this?

I think it has a lot to do with who you are with and the state of mind you are in at the time. That said, I can and I have sat and looked for hours from a second floor balcony at the reef off of Ambergris Caye. With the light blue close in and the deep blue beyond and the stark white line of the reef dissecting it, I find it mesmerizing. I have been blessed to share my time there with several family members who have since passed away and left me with wonderful memories there. Also honeymooned with my wife there, making it all the more special.

My favourite picture (I took it) although it's shocking how many A&M-related brands have stolen it, Aggieland Outfitters most recently.

Love this view. I think it has been 30 years since I have been to Cap Canaille.

My personal top 5:

Switzerland
Norwegian fjords
Italian lakes
Scottish highlands,
and Piazza San Marco on a winter night

I think Lake Louise and Moraine did that to me for mountain vacations.

Obviously depends on how we're defining beautiful, but to me that sounds like natural/geographical beauty…

Among places I've been personally…

1. Switzerland
2. The Maldives

Urban Country Boy are you advocating Houston and Berlin as being among the most beautiful places in the world? Because I've lived in both (love them both) and I can tell you, they are not what 99% of the world would identify as "beautiful."

Every place you visit has beauty. You just have to look for it.

Yes but the exercise was "most beautiful" place, not places with pockets of beauty that also may have a junky pervert taking a piss just outside of the frame

The beauty is not the landscape, it's the people.

Also, a shoutout to Rocky Mountain NP as the most accessible "Most Beautiful" place. Most of us could hop on a plane this morning and be hiking in a wonderland this afternoon.
That's Hood for us. Raw beauty, North Cascade Nat., larches in the Dolomites and the Alps. Photos I scroll every week, it's the stuff we do an hour from the house. It may not be 10/10, but it's all 7-9/10 and low lift (with lots of emotional attachment).

Driving to the ski hill:

Fall hikes on Hood:

How many waterfalls do you want to stop by on the way?

Summers on the mountain:

Spring in the Hood River valley:

Even the ****ters are beautiful part of the year:
