Sorry if there's already a thread; I couldn't find it.

We will be there for 4 days for work with kids (10,5).

Looking for can't miss stuff.

Kids are very well traveled and can do whatever.

Thanks in advance.

The gondola is great (kinda pricey) but worth it there's a bridge you can walk over glaciers very cool and tons of hikes of all levels to do up there

If you are into hikes try Joffree Lakes about an hour north of there but drop dead scenery I've been to Banff and the magnitude of views are very similar without the crowds
you need to get an online reservation pass it's free they try to limit the daily foot traffic and it is strictly enforced

When will you be there? Time of year really matters for this area for recs.

Nita lake lodge was a great place to stay if you can pick.

We liked doing things on Alta lake. Swimming, etc

This is assuming you about to be there.

I lived in the pacific NW (Whidbey Island ) for 3 years if your lucky you will get an Indian Summer where you get nice warm and dry weather all the way to late September/early October

Ah, a great time of year. It's been pretty good weather so far, so I'm think mid-Sept will be prime for you. One caveat, keep an eye on wild fire smoke. Typically west of the mtns does ok because the prevailing wind comes off the ocean west to east, but basically all of Alberta is on fire so if that flips you could be in trouble.

We did Panorama Point, High Note trails (via the gondola), Wedgemount Lake in the summer time and all were amazing hikes. Panorama and Wedgemount are on the more difficult side, so research distance and elevation gain and see if you think your kids could do it. The gondola and High Note trails are an awesome option because you don't need to do any of the elevation!

The village is really cool and very walkable too. You'll have an awesome time!
