Actually 10 days but six will be working and only maybe a half day on two other days

Goal is to spend less than $1000 for those four days (hotel already paid for)

Trying to find some inex*****ve things to couple with other things that are on my radar

Eats that arent going to break the bank or at least a great value coupled with some free or cheaper options.

Earmarked some of the $1000 on gambling so there maybe a little more if in win but the house usually does of course

One day maybe a day trip to Zion and will have the America the Beautiful pass to get in free so there maybe more than $250 on average per day...golf clubs will be with me so a cheaper option and will have a car available under current idea

Been to Vegas before so some things are tried and true to do BUT would rather find new things

Good call My first thought was Zion. My second thought is Death Valley, which is about the same distance, but the other way. I was pleasantly surprised by Death Valley and have been back three times now. Red Rock Canyon and Valley of Fire are much closer and offer good outdoors, as well.

Do you like shows (Cirque stuff, comedy, magic, etc)? Most aren't cheap but you can usually find deals. And even if you didn't, it still can fit your budget. I was just there for the bowl game and have recommendations if you do!

FYI the dates are April 19th thru the 28th

Reffing a VB tourney back to back weekends and staying in between with no real plan as of now

Mixing in free/ low cost with normal fun Vegas type things... Freemont Steet just for people watching and some gambling likely as well

Valley of Fire is for sure on the list as mentioned by someone above

Also the U2 immersive show is at Sphere during the time there

Herb and Rye is also good for steaks one day during their "happy hour" i.e. finding the value

Death Valley is on schedule for 2026 for another VB 10 day system for VB with one in LA and other weekend in Vegas

Vegas has one of the best Chinatowns in the country so if you're a fan of that type of cuisine, would definitely suggest eating there as opposed to on-strip.

Like BSD said, Death Valley and Zion are daytrips in terms of distance and both are awesome.

One thing to do that isn't gambling is checking out the Sphere. It is a little expensive but unlike anything else in the country. Just don't go to the concession stands.

If I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Valley of Fire over Red Rock. Red Rock is closer to a residential area and the last time we tried to go (10 days ago), it was sold out because we didn't by reservations.

The Mob Museum is interesting if that interests you. It is downtown.

Walking through Fremont street to people watch can be interesting.

Gamble at the Golden Nugget. Fun blackjack game called, "cats". Try open handed Pai Gow poker at Harrahs or O'Shea's. 5 dollar hands. Super social game. Hard to lose a lot of money with that game and it's fun.

The mob museum is excellent. I was surprised the quality of the experience.

Check out the Pawn Stars pawn shop. Not really all that interesting but if you're a fan of the show, you may like it.

Absinthe show. It's not cheap. Hilarious but raunchy. Very adult content.

Segway tour of downtown. 1.5 hours. We enjoyed the tour guide.

Hoover dam. Worth the drive and the tour.

Value places:

Ocean Prime has an awesome happy hour from 3-6 M-F. 50% off all cocktails and lounge food (the sushi rolls were our favorite). It's over by the Cosmo.

If you like Craps… Ellis Island is the best in the city with good dealers. It's being renovated right now, but should be done or close to done when you're there, so check that. Even if it's not done, it has a good vibe. Strong comped drinks and barely off the strip. Also, have 3:2 blackjack at $10/hand… impossible to find on the strip these days unless you want to pay $100+/hand.

Downtown otherwise though for craps and bj.

The titanic museum at the Luxor is cool if you like the Titanic. My wife is a huge titanic nerd and loved it, but I thought it was cool because it was short and we were in the area.

Le Thai on Fremont is really good if you like Thai. Normally a 1-2 hour wait on the weekend but it's right across from El Cortez which has a great casino with good table odds and dealers.

Another vote for valley of fire. Would also suggest looking at hikes/ activities near St. George instead of going all the way to Zion unless you are ready for crowds

Do your gambling away from the Strip and Downtown and you will find much lower minimums. Summerlin is your friend.

True that. I used to go to Suncoast and Red Rocks quite a bit. I also liked to go the Rampart from time to time for the old school vibe. They would sweat green chip action at a $5 or $10 table. Funny.

I was in Vegas a few weeks ago. A few things we did that we had never done before were;

- Pin Ball Hall of Fame
- Neon Museum
- Vegas Golden Knights game at T-Mobile Arena.

Someone already mentioned the Mob Museum. Playing Pin Ball for a couple of hours really brought me back to my high school years in the very early 80's. Neon Museum was really cool, and has a lot of Vegas history there. Go at night when everything is lit up. It will take about an hour to go through and get the history of everything. We also had never been to a professional Hockey game, and it was a blast.

Next time I go to Vegas, I'm definitely including a Golden Knights game in the mix. Live hockey is an amazing experience.

Yep, we enjoyed the first game so much that we got tickets and went to a second game before we left Vegas. We're fans now.
