As the title states considering Pagosa Springs for Thanksgiving week. Kids will be 13/10/5 at the time. Oldest and I may ski but mainly just S Texas kids that want to play in some snow. Probably head to Durango and/or Silverton.

I grew up going there, but that's been 25 years ago and it was always in the summer. Just looking for any advice on things we could do at that time of year. We would probably stay five nights and we would be driving from San Antonio area.

There is a person who posts on the Outdoors Board fairly regularly and who IIRC lived in Pagosa Springs up until a short time ago. You might post there and see if you can catch his attention.

cupofjoe04 is who you're referring to. He's always been very helpful to people who needed info on that area.

we were just there this past thanksgiving.

it snowed on the way in, but most of it was melted within a couple days. Trails were super muddy, so didn't get to do a lot of hiking, which is what we would have normally done. Our kids are younger though at 3 and 6. We had a good time walking around the paved trails through town. Hit the hot springs one day. Had drinks at several different places.
