We are looking at a family trip after Christmas, leave DFW Dec 27/28 and back January 3rd or 4th.

Grandparents are 75, kids mid 40's, and grandkids (all boys) ages 8-15. Not interested in a cruise, and trying for warm weather, but something more than just a beach trip within a few hour flight or drive.

That might be too vague, would really like something to keep the boys active during the day, and a hotel/resort that had a big suite or rent a house for everyone.

Thanks!

So it wouldn't be "warm" but not necessarily "freezing" - Branson. We went 2 years in a row and it wonderful during Christmastime. There are plenty of things to do indoors and outdoors.

We absolutely love Silver Dollar City and go 2-3 days. 2+day tickets are only marginally more than single day. We find Groups for mini-golf. WonderWorks Museum. They have an indoor place that you can rock climb, zip line, etc. Mountain coaster.

While we always stay at the Residence Inn, they do have a place that has indoor waterpark that is part of a hotel. I think you can get day tickets there too.
