That or you are providing them your personal details via the reservation information.

Would like to hear if the airlines approve of this service. Not trying to bag on this guys concept, but airlines have taken a heavy hand to using services to "automate" the game to take revenue away from the airline.

I honestly do not know if the airlines have an issue with this service, but I would want to see some information on that.

You guys have information or a discussion on Flyertalk? I have used the forums there since before my TexAgs day to sort out the what's what of travel, travel perks, status and deals.

I have spent close to or over 6 figures a year for nearly 10 years with American and Delta and a lot of the time, especially in the last two years, they can barely manage the bare minimum of getting my employees from point a to point b. And when they do manage it, it's frequently with insane delays or lost baggage. Their "customer service" has deteriorated to unheard of lows. So I actually don't care if they approve of this or any other service that saves passengers money. As long as it's available, I'll take advantage of it.

That's all fine and well if you don't care about them taking your miles and prohibiting you from flying with them.

More than a few have had 6 and some stones seven figure mileage balances deleted for less.

It's just a question. But keep in mind your are simply a consumer and they are a business with a hefty right to refuse service to someone who violates their Ts&Cs which you likely have never read.

Again, it's just a question. I'm not siding with the airlines, but this service undermines their revenue models and generally they act poorly to such.

Thanks for your questions. I keep hitting the 24 hour post rule so I'll try and address in one post.

- Sky Key scans and automatically uploads flight related emails from your inbox. Many of our customers have a lot of upcoming flights and manually uploading them is a pain. So email sync makes this significantly easier.

- Sky Key's #1 priority is saving customers money on flights. However, our platform is mutually beneficial to the airlines, in our opinion/data, since the majority of people book non-refundable tickets. When Sky Key saves someone money on a non-refundable ticket, savings come back as a flight credit that can be used to book their next flight on the same airline (it encourages people to do repeat business with that airline). If you have $100 credit to use on American, you are much more likely to book your next flight on American.

- We aren't active on FlyerTalk, but we can look into posting on there. Thanks for the feedback.

Best of luck and keep us updated. I like the idea and will look into it for some of our trips.

TripIt has notified me occasionally of fare drops and I have used, but your solution does seem more proactive.

Look around at Flyertalk before committing. They can be way harder on folks than TexAgs and the airlines, hotels, etc actively monitor. Positive is that a good solution gets lots of attention.

Thanks for responding with detail as well. Nothing is meant to be critical it's just the things I would be considering if I had a stake in such a tools.

What is the frequency of it rechecking?

I typically book using miles, and check about weekly to see if it drops, which it often does at some point.
So would get miles back, but then pay $ to this company?

You're right. I know Billy makes the argument that this is good for airlines because the refund credit incentivizes future purchases, but their service is directly working against the airline's RM and inventory control systems. I think it's at best neutral to airlines.

This "repricing" mechanism is why the industry had change fees for so long. However, I don't see any airline moving back in that direction anytime soon.
