Going to Chicago for the first time in a couple of weeks with the wife and 9 year old son. Would love some recommendations for restaurants and sites to see. Staying in the Streeterville area if that helps. TIA!

With a 9 year year old in tow, consider the Field Museum and/or Museum of Science and Industry. Probably the latter, if you had to choose, though I guess it depends if he's even interested in stuff like that.

If you can, buy the u-boat ticket! Was sold out when I went but seemed pretty neat.

We just got back today... I'll add the 360 Chicago lean window was pretty fun.

I'll second the boat tour as well.

Museum of science and industry is a lot of fun.

Boat tour is fun.

We also did a boat/ferry(?) south to China Town and got dinner there one night. We took the El train back. That was fun.

Girl and the Goat 5+ years ago was great.

Gotta get some pizza, my favorite is probably Lou Malnati's. Pequods is good but not really Chicago style imo.

Had a great dinner at Armitage Ale House last year. Recommend that place.
