Pissed. This is ridiculous.

Super pissed about this. Interested to see how long it will last. I'm thinking the backlash will be huge and this will be changed quickly (kinda like all the tariff mess)

Anecdotally, got to airport extra early expecting mess, made it through security in5 minutes

At this time, TSA PreCheck remains operational with no change for the traveling public. As staffing constraints arise, TSA will evaluate on a case by case basis and adjust operations accordingly.

Client of mine went through TSA Pre-check this morning at IAH within 5 min. I will be traveling out of AUS tomorrow and update my experience.

It took exactly 10 minutes at Hobby this morning from the time that I parked to check my bag, go through security, and arrive at my gate.

Such a nice experience after flying IAH last weekend.

AUS was normal this morning with TSA open.

Already covered above.

Hobby was a disaster today.

Currently at Hobby. Took about 3 hours to get through the line.

I expect this to get rougher this week.

Why does it seem like Houston airports have more issues than other airports during the shutdowns?

Las Vegas only had 2 lines open and no TSA/GE today

My friend used Clear yesterday and it took her 2.5 hours at Hobby.

She missed her flight and just waited at the gate to take the seats of people on the next flight who would no doubt miss their flight. She made the next flight.

I saw IAH was suggesting arriving at the airport 4 hours before international flights.

And it was a 3 minute wait in Denver today. Just doesn't make any sense.

Clear or pre check. If it really did take that long in clear I suspect it's a function of a **** ton of folks signing up for the free trial. Hopefully they put an end to that loophole quick.

There were so many people that missed their flights at Hobby on Sunday. There were two lanes open. People started trying to advance in line. Some were a bit too aggressive/rude.

It was true at the time of the post.

Hopefully this nonsense clears up before I fly out of Hobby next week. I'll give another update then.

I transited through MIA yesterday coming from the Caribbean, and going through immigration and security was a breeze. They had Global Entry shut down and everyone went through the regular entry, but they had it set up with facial recognition so in effect it was as if everyone went through Global Entry as they didn't check passports or ask any questions. I presume they will go to facial recognition at all airports which would make Global Entry irrelevant.

I landed at A terminal in Houston around 4 pm, and the security line was stacked up probably a 30 min wait, but nothing too terrible.

Global Entry back open.

most airports it's not an issue at all.

Flew back from Philippines on Sunday. Transferred in SFO at 7am with 0 issues having to go thru TSA pre check again. Landed in SLC at 11am and the lines were marked with a sign as an hour long. I ran into an Ag I had not seen in 15 years(he was in the TSA pre check line) and he said she had been waiting for 1.5 hours. Very strange for SLC.

Sent this to hubs this AM. This was Terminal E at IAH:

So security was supposed to open up at 3:50AM.

We walk into airport probably 3:40-3:45. The bag drop line for United was LONG. Bag drop opened at 3:55 or so. Got through at 4:10.

Security didn't open til 4:08. Took us awhile (20+ min) to get through TSA but I guess cause the line was long right when they opened. Not many in line behind us.

Several folks were within 10 min of missing their flight while in TSA line (both Aggies)
