I'm currently in Spain and will be travelling quite a bit of the country. any wine suggestions out there? I'm sitting on a balcony at Marques de Riscal. Visited Rioda and Tondonia this morning after landing (along with Marques de Riscal). Will be here for another day before heading back to Madrid for a couple days, then to Alicante/Murcia area for a week and finishing in Barcelona for four days. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I enjoyed walking around LaGuardia and visiting a few of their wineries, and I believe it's in the same area. We went in 2018 so I could be mistaken.
The town was originally built as a fortress and is completely walled in with tunnels built for protection now being used for wine.

Casa Primica was built over the ruins of the old city and you could see the excavation below their floor. Neat tour.

El Fabulista wasn't as good of wine, but their tour brought you down into the tunnels of the city.

One of my favorite areas is the Galicia region eating sumptuous seafood with the areas Albariño.
If you are in Barcelona go to the Priorate area. From my understanding it was not a strong producing area but expatriate English made it quite desirable.

Only been once, to Valencia, but try to get some paella there if you can.

We made it over to Laguardia today and lucked into a visit and personal tour from the owner of Artadi. They had a group from Japan training for master of wine accreditation and we got invited to tag along. Some great wines and very insightful about the winemaking process.
