Such a weird flex to post airport codes to say that you travel so much that you know all the codes by heart.

I love it cause it's a challenge to me to see if I know what airports it is.

I used to work with Burger King's. They had BK's on AAFES bases. I used to know 95% of the numbers by heart. So like Ft. Benning BK was B4433. One of the Fort Hoods was B14616.

Now that I'm a travel agent it's like that for airports. I need to know and memorize alllll of them lol.

I travel by plane 1-3 times a year, and I typically know the airport codes of where I'm going.

Not that weird at all if you're the person booking the flight... and not weird considering he could have logged into his airline and all the flights are right there.

Sure, but this thread is to let other people know where you're planning to go. From his list, I know of MSP and ORD. IND is probably Indiapolis. CMH and CID? No idea and I'm sure most people don't know, either.

Smokey Mountain hiking based in Asheville NC for May. As always, planned some simultaneous craft beer tap trekking. Vacation was originally scheduled for 2023 and just now rescheduled.

About time to book adventures for the summer family Hawaii trip on the North shore of Kauai. Air, car, and accommodations booked months ago.

Next, booking a Fall Main Oyster, hiking, and craft beer tap trekking trip. Nothing else planned for '26, yet. Maybe something Christmas, TBD.

You would have hated me 2 years ago when it was 3 airport codes a week from March though october.

This month I finally booked a short weekend trip to Denver via Chatdeal and a longer one to Portugal later this year. Been trying to mix quick getaways with something bigger to look forward to. For this month, just a couple of local road trips planned, nothing too crazy, but nice to get out a bit.

Booked flights for Vegas next month. Goodness gracious $900+ for economy plus is stupid.

$2k additional to upgrade to 1st.

Recently returned from eight days on Oahu ... three nights at Royal Hawaiian in Waikiki; four nights at Disney's Aulani in Ko Olina.

Weather was disappointing throughout but we managed to make the most of it.

Just got back from a two week trip to Korea with my wife. We did Seoul and Busan. Our final walking count for the two weeks is 114 miles.

This is actually the first time I've done a vacation where relaxing wasn't the main focus. I'm for sure tired but I feel like I got a lot out of the trip.

Got a "Gig'em" in Utrecht Netherlands cathedral. I like to wear Aggie gear and see if I keep my streak going. So far over my Overseas journeys over the years I've gotten gig'ems in Florence, Prague, Brisbane, London, Lisbon, Cork, Madrid and now Utrecht.

Up to Asia for work. Then my mom is flying to Sydney and we're flying across the ditch to Christchurch to meet my aunt and uncle to tour around the South Island of New Zealand for a week or so.

My mom has no idea that I've booked us in Emirates First Class on the A380 for the SYD-CHC flight, she's going to go crazy!

The SYD-CHC fifth freedom Emirates flight has always intrigued me. It costs so much to park at SYD (because it's so space-constrained) that Emirates calculated it would cost less to lose money doing an A380 round-trip to Christchurch than it would leaving the plane sitting there.

Surprise perfectly executed!

Full disclosure vs flex….. airport codes easier than spelling out full city name.

Just a mere $3676 if I want to upgrade from economy plus to 1st for IAH to Vegas.

And I posted above it was $900 plus for economy plus, it was actually around $815 when I went back to check. Which is still stupid

Other than a better boarding group is there any advantage to Economy plus vs economy on a domestic flight?

A few inches of extra legroom.

Yes, extra legroom. I like bulkhead seats. At this point in my life it's worth it to me even though I'm not tall.

On American it includes a drink and a checked bag I think. I rarely fly American though.

Ill have to double check, but for all united, american, delta, and alsaka domestic first include 2 checked bags and free drinks.
Flights over a certain length include a meal.
For economy plus, american and alaska offer free drinks, united offers extra leg room

I was right behind whatever Delta calls their Premium Economy last weekend and noticed that those folks got a better selection of snacks than us poor economy people.
