Going for work so free time will be limited, but so far on my list:

Pok Pok
Ox
Salt & Straw

10 Barrel Brewing
Deschutes Brewery Portland Public House

Teardrop Cocktail Lounge
Multnomah Whiskey Library

Powell's City of Books
Bridal Veil Falls

We'll see which ones I get to visit. Anything else y'all would suggest?

I live here.

Scotch Lodge is the immediate add. Go to Timberline if you haven't.

I moved here to ski and ride bikes. My wife agreed for her garden. You're heading to the Gorge; so some nature. I can def make a hitter list if you provide some constraints.

Car? Duration? Time of year? Activity? Meadows closing this week. Timberline will ski through July. MTB and hiking just starting to fire.

Cherry blossoms are done. Tulip festivals on right now. Dahlias next. Roses in June. Hood River fruit loop all summer. Wine country is never wrong.

Nice, enjoy.

OP mentioned Bridal Veil. Just drive the extra 45 minutes and eat dinner at Timberline/Cascade Lodge. Dinner on a volcano > anything in PDX, lol.

So through the Gorge it is. Thunder Island. Priefm and Ferment on the waterfront. You're breweries.

Mosier Twin Tunnels on bikes. If you like more bike stuff, hit me up. Big gravel and MTB guy. Tons to do on East Hood / Post Canyon.

You're driving the fruit loop to Hood Village. Great! Gorge White House is the must. Then Draper Girls, Packer Orchards, and Grateful Vineyard (pizza, wine and Hood views).

Lost Lake is SE Hood is the best alpine lake. Look it up and do it.

White River Sno Park for a photo right after the Meadow's ski resort (best hill ever, so great).

Timberline on your way through Govy. Still skiing until mid-July this year. Hike to Silcox. A bit higher and you start to smell the Devil's Kitchen fumarole. Summit and you can get a headache staring down into it. Bruno is the very good pup on the first floor. 2nd floor had the main cathedral area. They lop a Doug for Christmas that reaches the ceiling in there. GOAT Christmas vibes with the massive fireplaces. We chop our own Christmas tree every year and then eat dinner at the Rams Head.

Charlie's is my daughter and my fav restaurant on Earth. We eat it almost every Friday in ski season. Wife hates it. Apart of the appeal, tbh. Ratskeller across the street for pizza and pinball. Glacier Pub if it's open. That's about it for Govy.

Once you're down in Hood Village, head out Lolo Pass road. Tons of PCT and McNeil Pt hiking. Spectacular views.

If you're not locked in to that side of town, there are better breweries to be had than 10 Barrel. Great Notion isn't too far from Nob Hill and it's one of my all-time favorites. The Eastside has the bulk of them though, including Wayfinder.

If you're going up to Bridal Veil falls, you might as well go a couple more miles and hit Multnomah Falls: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/oregon/multnomah-falls-trail

For Bridge of the God's in your link, Thunder Island I mentioned above has a patio staring at it:

As you drive from Hood River south around Hood (after the fruit farms) you'll have Tamanawas Falls. Huge and you can walk behind it. Way further up the flank of Hood: https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/tamanawas-falls

Though, getting a couple feet of snow this week. Might be a bit sloppy first week of May.

If you have kids, waterfront in Hood River. Pfriem, mentioned above, has a to-go window. Grab a pint and watch the kids on the big playground.

Final, final, for real final, first time visitors we hightail from PDX to Troutdale (start of the Gorge). Sugarpine Drive-Inn should be your first Oregon experience. Grab food/ice cream and walk down to the Sandy River and watch the rafters and fly fishers. Alt, hit it on your way through the Gorge to Mosier. Good Coffee in Troutdale for a caffeine stop before entering the Gorge.

Truly the best in OR:

Helvatia Market is FIRE in the summer. They host Friday Nights at the Farm with a bluegrass band, BBQ trailer and a mobile beer tap on the lawn.

Also in that area is the best McMenamins, Rock Creek Tavern. It's an actual hobbit house. We just ate there on Tuesday.

For all you cats currently around Cannon, please please please go to Oswald West/Smugglers Cove. It is the destination. Walk the old growth. Waterfall should be running on the far north side of the beach. Hike Cape Falcon for more old growth + vistas.

The elk take over Cannon sometimes. They post up on the soccer fields next to Ecola Seafood.

Also, if you've god kidos, I didn't mention Bruces. N. side of main street. Free salt-water taffy samples as the come off the machine.
