I'm sure most of you do not fly Spirit, but most of the major airlines are offering concessions for those who had flights in the immediate future.

Luckily it is not an airline I sell so I don't have any clients traveling on them (at least on tickets that I booked). I feel for all the folks who are stranded and the employees who no longer have a job.

I'll post some of the other airlines info in the next comment.

United: If you had a ticket booked on Spirit and your flight was canceled, for the next two weeks you can visit united.com/specialfares Most of these special fares are capped at $199 with limited exceptions, with longer flights priced no higher than $299.

Southwest: Can only access special fares at the TICKET counters in the airport. For domestic travel, these fares will be offered for flights where Southwest provides overlapping service, based on ticket mileage:

• 1-500 miles: $200
• 501-1,000 miles: $300
• 1,000+ miles: $400

American: To help customers whose travel may be disrupted, we immediately put rescue fares into place on Spirit routes where American also offers nonstop service. American serves 70 of the 72 airports Spirit presently serves, and 67 of the specific routes Spirit currently operates. We are also reviewing opportunities to add additional capacity including utilizing larger aircraft and adding flights on critical routes to support as many affected passengers as possible.
Spirit Airlines customers looking to book travel on American are encouraged to book directly through the American Airlines app or on aa.com.

JetBlue:

• JetBlue is offering $99 rescue fares to assist stranded travelers with immediate travel planned
• JetBlue will cap fares to ensure affordable rebooking options remain available as more travelers look to rebook and demand increases.

AA doesn't specify. The others I'm guessing will require it.

Any airport observations since the Spirit downfall? I can't help but think it's like Astroworld before they started the season pass BS.
