We choose to fly in and out of Bozeman since we are doing Yellowstone & Glacier. Another factor was due to rental car availability was better.

Any tips on easy hikes in Glacier or must see stops/excursions is appreciated,

Hidden Lake Overlook at Logan Pass is not that long or difficult (maybe 1.5 mi each way) and a great hike for both scenery and wildlife. Just make sure you get there very early if you want a parking spot.

Sun Point is less than a mile and a must see. In that same general area Wild Goose Island lookout is right on the road and probably one of the most photographed places in the entire park.

On the other side of the park Avalanche Lake is maybe 4 to 5 miles round trip but not a lot of gain and a great payoff at the end of the trail.

Also highly recommend at least a day in Waterton across the border if you have time

We came before the crowds, but FCA is the cleanest, nicest airport I've ever been too.

As far as easy hikes, agreed with Htown. We did the avalanche lake with a baby on my back, and it was doable. We got there early, and had easy parking. Very few people on the trail in the morning, but we passed quite a few on the way out.

The sun road was still closed this week, so we couldn't get to Logan Pass. We had to drive south and go around to the East side.

There's some easy hikes at Two Medicine and it's worth seeing.

We didn't hike, but we went to Saint Mary Lake. Really nice view and drive. You can also see Jackson Glacier at the end of the road.

Good stuff. We're day hikers, but the bear attacks (and I love seeing bears) have us a little skittish. These hikes sound great. Added to my all trails list. Feel free to add some if you think of more.

We saw one on the road driving to the avalanche lake trail head. We also overheard someone talking about seeing one on that same trail maybe 10 minutes after we got to the lake.
