I am thinking about moving there next month with my wife and two girls.
Most beautiful place to live and play in the country IMO. Hopefully you enjoy the outdoors...or can learn to! Cycling (road and mtn), hiking, fly fishing, water skiing, snow skiing, alpine mountaineering, kayaking, rock climbing, etc are all in that area. Absolutely perfect climate too.
I live in Bend. Central Oregon is a great place to live and raise a family. If you love the outdoors, you will love Central Oregon.

I just moved out to Oregon, but I live in Salem. I have been to the Bend area about a dozen times and absolutely love that area. If it wasn't for my job, that is where I would live.
