What kind of A&M Club get-togethers do the various clubs do?

The Middle-Tennessee A&M Club does Muster, Happy Hours and Game Watching parties... all of which only about the same 10 people attend. We have upwards of 50 - 100 names and email addresses, plus we update our club web-site, MySpace page, etc. But we just can't seem to get anyone to come out to events!

Anyone have any advice on how to get Aggies involved in the club? What works for your local clubs?

the Triangle NC (raleigh-durham) area has something like 1200 aggies in the area, however we only get a fraction at any event.

muster has had anywhere between 50 and 100 the last few years i've attended.

our fall bbq gets 40-60

football game-watching gets anywhere from 8-15 (this year). previous years, i've seen 20 or 25. dunno if that's a function of our team's record.

there's only been a handful of other happy hour type events and/or basketball. those are very hit or miss, anywhere from 4 to 15 show up.

on one hand, we dunno if everyone is getting the message (and we've tried several ways to contact, from what i've seen). on the other, i can understand when people can't show up.

there's definitely a core group, which helps continue things, but it's tough to get a bigger outpouring of support.

Nise- When I moved to the Chattanooga area in '05 and went to Muster, none of the group around here seemed interested in much else. Kinda a core group of 15-20, but we are all so scattered as far as schedules nothing has every progressed.

Would love to facilitate functions, but work time doesn't allow for it....

off topic- I guess the chance of getting enough Ag's to purchase A&M plates in TN is pretty small? I see all sort of small colleges with collegiate plates and can't imaging them selling 100 of them.

Thanks so much for all the responses, and apologies for not responding sooner. I'm going to bring the suggestions and ideas to the rest of the officers next chance I get -- and, indianaag, I will definitely be in touch.

EMc77, believe it or not, at one of our recent Game Watching parties the topic of A&M plates in TN came up. I know of atleast four or five people in our club that all mentioned they'd be interested in them if they were offered (myself included! I was so sad to take off my Aggie plates when moving here.)
