So, I'm moving up to Colorado Springs in two weeks. The Colorado Springs club website hasn't updated in about 9 years - I assume most COS people use the Denver Aggies site?

I've been surprised at how weak the traffic is in Denver the last two days. I drove 70 the whole way on 25 yesterday at 4:30; got on at Colorado and went to Littleton. This morning, there was no traffic at 8:00 going 470 East (from Highlands Ranch), to 25 North, to 225 North to Colfax. It is nice after dealing with Houston traffic for 4.5 years.

I was there last week on business. Traffic not near as bad as it is here in Houston. I went to look at homes in Parker, The Piney to be exact. Nice area. Hopefully my company will make a decision soon as to whether or not the move will happen.

cool, while the subject of Denver is up, I am graduating in May with an Industrial Distribution degree and am thinking of moving to Denver. Does anyone know of any supply chain/operaions/industrial sales jobs in the area? Any insight will help. Thanks.

Traffic is DEFINITELY not as bad here in Denver as any major city in TX. People talk about "the traffic" here, but when they talk about traffic here, they're going like 10-30mph.... Not LBJ Freeway (aka parking lot) at 5pm. Plus, we have a pretty good light rail system on the south side, and I highly recommend that...esp if you live down south and work downtown or do something similar.

E, the best way to find job networking with Aggies in the Denver area is to join the Denver Aggies Email List.

Then, follow the instructions at the bottom of one of the monthly newsletters to post your networking request... usually get at least a few hits off of that.

As for the Colo Springs club, it's my understanding that they have an email list that you can get on and get the 411 on their events.

I've lived in Denver for 10 years and serve on the BODirectors for the Denver A&M Club. I have a large amount of connections(Aggie and otherwise) in and around the city. If anyone ever needs anything, you can email me at:

This is spot on. I grew up in Houston/London, lived in Denver, and now live just north of DC. Everybody in Denver complains about the traffic, but it is easy to avoid if you give an hour on either side of the 8-5 schedule of most people there.

The Annual Summer Picnic will be at Eisenhower Park in Denver in July. The final dates should be on the website soon. Check www.denveraggies.com for all up coming activities. Hope to see you there!

Has there been much "golfing weather" over the last 2 months? I usually look at the Denver weather 3-4 times/week, and it seems like March and April accounts for the biggest discrepancy when comapred to TX weather. It seemed like a mild weather, followed by a pretty cold March and April. I know it can stay cool into May, but has it been unseasonably cold the last month or two?

I love cold weather, and I think that 40s and 50s is very doable for golf in Denver (where the air is less humid). Has there been much snow on the ground lately?
