It is finally safe for me to turn my computer on. LOTS of damage here in Murfreesboro, houses flattened in the Blackman community as well as damage over by the Medical Center Parkway area I am told. DNJ newspaper has confirmed at least 2 fatalities here. Nise and anyone else here in Middle TN stay safe, and when you see this, please answer to say (hopefully) that you are allright.

Glad to hear you are okay Consol. I heard about the tornadoes this evening and when they mentioned Murfreesboro I thought of you. You and your family and hotel all okay? I have been in a tornado before as it missed my house by 1 block so I know how scary it can be. Stay safe and give us an update as you learn more.

Awww thank you Ag2Max! It hit North Murfreesboro really hard- lots of new development was there. Over 100 houses destroyed and at least two deaths, including a 9 week old baby! We live in South Murfreesboro so it did not hit us but we did get lots of hail. No major damage seen as of yet. The Embassy Suites in North Murfreesboro was without power so I called them and told them if any guests needed temporary housing they can come to our hotel which is less than a mile from my house so it sems to be OK

GOD how I HATE this place! I just wish I had the money to move back to Texas! Not NEARLY as much severe weather there! I feel really bad for all those who lost everything, especially the father of that baby! he lost his business, his house, and his entire family yesterday! What a terrible way to bring in Easter.

I'm here!! Sorry, I've not checked the board in several days (obviously). Thanks so much for asking!!!!

We were already in Texas for Easter when they hit, but I had WKRN live streaming on my computer the whole time... my husband called neighbors to see if the house was okay. For a long time we were projected to be in direct line of it. My heart just aches for those who lost everything (especially for the man who lost his wife and new baby girl). : (

My favorite quote from someone, "It's okay. We're okay. We just don't have houses anymore!" That optimism and thankfulness... just WOW.

I hope you had very little damage to your house/property Nise. I am glad you were in TX at the time. I hope you had a good easter.
