Here's what I would do (and did already). Pay the $50 at AggieNetwork dot com, so that you have access to the online directory. This allows you to search Ags by industry, company, major, city, and so on. Type up a general 1-2 paragraph intro/explanation, and use it to email all the Ags that you think can help.

I was amazed at how many Aggies responded, and it helped a lot. I would brainstorm and network to the point that you have several contacts to meet with (and/or interviews lined up), and plan a trip to Denver to meet with people. I agree with the prevalent notion that it's a lot easier to find a job here if you are living here... because it is a very popular place that a lot of people want to move to. I will let you know if I can think of some Ags in your field in the Denver area.

Highly recommend you email the Denver A&M club. They will essentially add your posting(even if you ARE looking for a job they'll do it) to their e-newsletter that goes to 700+ Ags in the area. Your bound to get some responses there.

Also, try doing searches on LinkedIn and Facebook. One Ag new to Denver recently had GREAT success simply contacting ppl in his field in Denver via LinkedIn. We fellow Ags want to help!

You should be up near tomorrow - looking at about a foot of snow in the city overnight - can only imagine what they're getting up in the mountains. Snow day!!!

Snow days aren't as good when you are an independent contractor. But at least I can go sledding today, do my taxes, and maybe drink some beer.
