How long do you want to ignore this user?

My wife ('02) and I ('08) moved to the Springs on Christmas Eve so I could take a much better job. In doing so, she left her teaching (PE) job in Plano. She has been looking for work for a couple of months now, but she's only had 1 interview.

She's interested in seeing what other opportunities are out there for her besides teaching/coaching. She has been applying for pharm/medical sales positions.

Her degree is in Kinesiology with a Teacher Cert and she has 8 years of experience in Texas public schools. She has taught PE, Health, Foundations, and some kind of leadership class. She has coached Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, and Track. She has also served as the Girls Athletic Coordinator and as a member of several different committees over the years. Finally, she has experience writing grants and was a pioneer within her school in Bryan for incorporating technology into the classroom (even PE).

She excels at almost anything she tries and is very personable. I know that she is open to a variety of opportunities, but she isn't really sure where she fits outside of teaching/coaching. She isn't opposed to returning to that profession but the pay here in Colorado is significantly less than it is in Texas. If she did return to teaching she would prefer an elementary position. We had our first child last year and after school coaching year round isn't ideal with an infant at home.

So, all that to say: If you have any advice or leads for her, please shoot her an email --> cricket dot aggie at gmail dot com

TIA, and I hope to see some of you at Muster.

I am pasting what I wrote on another thread. I moved to Denver, and I found this to be very helpful. Also, try emailing the CS A&M Club if you haven't done so already.

quote:
Here's what I would do (and did already). Pay the $50 at AggieNetwork dot com, so that you have access to the online directory. This allows you to search Ags by industry, company, major, city, and so on. Type up a general 1-2 paragraph intro/explanation, and use it to email all the Ags that you think can help.

Just wanted to say, the wife got a j-o-b. Hired by an old tard, I guess they aren't all bad.
