We'll be moving to the Ruston area in the spring. Anyone from there/live there?

Child care recommendations and leads on rental property outside the city limits would be appreciated.

Spartan- That's actually what we liked about the town- not too big and Monroe and Shreveport are close.

I will be on faculty at LA Tech and my husband is still looking for a job. It seems like a nice area with lots of opportunities for outdoor activities.

Can't help much with Ruston, but we have some Ags in the North Louisiana club that might be able to help. PM me. What department will you be in at Tech? My son is an architecture student.

My brother played football at La Tech and he loved Ruston as a city, but hated that it was the "commuter" university and no one was around on weekends.
He's always complaining about how he misses Ruston.
