Ok so I had like three hours last week to pick a spot close to work (DTC) to live. I ended up at an apartment off north of Lincoln and just west of 25. The area reminds me of Addison / Frisco here in DfW. Did I go wrong?

I admit I was swayed by a couple of visits to Earls for some happy hours. Hope the rest of the area has some life to it for a single guy.

I lived there. Park Meadows Apts? It's nice for the suburbs, but it's still the suburbs. The train station is very close though

I live in Lone Tree. It's a great place, and it's been ranked in some "best places to live" lists. While there are several good neighborhoods near downtown that would be more preferable for a single guy, Lone Tree is still a good option. DTC is 5-10 minutes away, Cherry Creek is 15-20 minutes, downtown is 20-25. The light rail has a Lincoln stop, but it's 40+ minutes to downtown.

There are a few decent bar options in/near Lone Tree: Fox n Hound, LoDo's (3rd floor balcony has awesome mountain views), Parry's Pizzeria (great pizza, 50 craft beers on tap). As you probably noticed, there are tons of restaurants surrounding Park Meadows mall.... awesome mall. There's a Rock Bottom Brewery across from PM, and a Yard House is opening soon. Also, Lone Tree Brewery is pretty good. Swingers is a cool bar with golf simulators to play golf in the winter. Castle Rock is 10 minutes south, and has a few good restaurants and Rockyard Brewery/restaurant (pretty good).

You're a golfer, right? Lone Tree is one of my favorite courses. There are plenty of great options: South Suburban (5 minutes), Saddle Rock (15 minutes), Plum Creek and Red Hawk Ridge in Castle Rock are pretty nice, Raccoon Creek in Littleton (20 minutes), Meadow Hills and Wellshire (15-20 minutes).

We should play golf or get a beer some time.

I should probably host a BBQ for all the Denver TexAg'ers, but it might be late July before I can do so.

Hey I'm down for some golf and a beer. It will be a good way to meet some of ya'll.

I went to Earl's with some vendors and some colleagues a couple of times while I was visiting two weeks ago. Had a good time.

I'm really stoked about this move. LATE JULY would be perfect, seeing as I'll arrive on the 20th.

Let's line it up later in the month.

Late July is a nice time to move. You'll have about a month before it cools off and the average high temps drop below 80*. Fall in Denver is outstanding, as the weather is great, the leaves changes, golf is awesome, and ski season is around the corner.

Hey y'all!

I am here for an internship this summer and actually work here in Lone Tree. Living downtown at the Auraria campus. I am definitely wanting to hook up with some Ag's this summer! I know only one other person here besides the folks I work with. I would love to meet up with some of yall and have a beer after work!

proudaggie02 - if you need any help setting up I am definitely in.

Since I don't have PM's feel free to give me a hollar or a text -

There will be more Aggies in Denver than Californians. This state needs it. Welcome to all of you guys!

I just moved to this area from Houston. Live off Lincoln, east of 25 by the good course.
Have had a great 2 weeks so far tons of food and beer options all around.
$2.75 for any draft at lodos on Tuesday's.
And rock bottom has $2 off beers until 6 everday and all day Sunday.

LoDos is pretty legit. And cowboy lounge across the street is a lot of fun as well.

We ought to meet up this week/end and grab some brews. Would love to meet up with some ags.

Montana he is probably talking about the Lodos at Park Meadows down south. Now that you are in lone tree you dont have to go downtown to go to Lodos.

Proud always talks about Parrys Pizzeria and I recommend that as well.

62,

I know you're a big beer guy, so I recommend Parrys Pizzeria ASAP. Take Lincoln across 25 for 3-4 miles. It's on left by king Soopers, just before you get to Highlands Ranch Parkway.

50 craft beers on tap + bombers.

db - ahh didn't know that. I live downtown and work in Lone Tree so I've only hit up the one downtown.

Speaking of which.. I saw someone in a white tree on Lincoln on Monday with massive A&M on the back of it. Wouldn't happen to any of y'all?

proud aggie, yeh i know about that one. When wife and came in march and picked this apt., we went to the small parrys, on lincoln, just next door to the apts. He mentioned they were about to open a much bigger location in HR with all the beer. A week or two later when I was back in Houston, I happened upon their website and saw that they were open. Will have to make it out soon.

They are having some beer events coming up, New belgium, dogfish, and boulder beer.

I went to Earl's
Good to see that a decade later, they're still going strong. Used to work with one guy who was never available for meetings but... he was always available for a long Happy Hour/dinner at Earl's. I hadn't been out of Texas that long so I wasn't as taken with the waitstaff as he was but... I did see his point.
