Well, the wife and I are all moved in to our apartment in Brentwood. We are not fully organized, but we are moved in.

That said, we are looking for new friends. Everyone we know and love (only a slight exaggeration) is in Texas. Who in Nashville is looking for other Ags to hang out with?

I just relocated my family here too. Been here 1 month and live in Brentwood. Would definitely be interested in having a beer with a fellow ag.

Would enjoy getting together with you guys sometime...maybe at the Cool Springs Brewery, that would be reasonably close to everyone. Let me know if that sounds like something you'd want to do!

This might not be the best thread to ask but I'll throw it out there to see what happens.

I currently live in Charlotte and have recently taken a new role that covers a large geographical area. I like the idea of moving to Nashville but I need access to an airport that will allow me to get on a flight to a lot of major cities in the southeast/ Ohio valley region. Will the Nashville airport be as good as the Clt airport?

Nashville has a large airport and even handles international flights (or did at one time). I fly out of Nashville to Washington DC, Houston, San Antonio, New Orleans, Los Angeles, etc.

Southwest is big in Nashville, so they have a reasonable coverage, as far as I've seen.

Keep in mind that Nashville has a NFL team and a NHL team. You don't get those without a major airport.

The place I'm looking at is like...west Cherokee? Something like that? What's that area like?

Assuming it's Cherokee Park, that's West End area. Older neighborhood, good area. Houses there are quaint but smaller. Very convenient to downtown. Not a bad area at all to the best of my knowledge.

Honestly, Nashville will not be as good as Charlotte. Charlotte has a hub with US Airways. Nashville does not have a hub; Southwest flies to 33 locations out of Nashville but it's still not the same.

I would research the cities you need to get to from your base camp. Nashville has a lot of flights to Atlanta/Birmingham/Tampa/Dallas/Houston/Charlotte. Other places can be hit or miss.

Good area, right across from MBA. Not a "walk to all my needs" area, and traffic is pretty miserable over there, but it's in a nice little pocket between West End/Belle Meade/Green Hills.
