Who got them??!!

Comstock Resources is selling non-core natural gas assets in East Texas and Louisiana for a total of $445.2 million.

The agreements with unnamed buyers include interests in Cotton Valley wells and acreage in the East Texas Shelby Trough play, Comstock announced Nov. 3 in third-quarter earnings

They sold some assets for a total of $445MM. They didn't sell the entire company.

Comstock agreed to sell its properties in the Shelby Trough to "an unaffiliated third party" for $430 million on Oct. 10. The deal includes 36,000 net acres and interests in 155 (74.5 net) wells in Nacogdoches, San Augustine and Shelby counties, Texas.

Rumor a few weeks ago was Citadel. Not sure if that's who actually got it but it's likely that's the case.

What are you replying to? The acquirer of the Comstock sale?

There are a lot of Apex named companies - which one?

Paloma Natural Gas changed their name to Apex Natural Gas after Citadel acquired their interest.

Well according to Jerry the reason he has not addressed the Cowboy's atrocious D as GM is because he has been too busy with Comstock (see the WSJ article above) so I guess I feel better about the L last night to THE CARDINALS knowing he had this on his plate.

ANOTHER! And the BUYER is not announced yet again... Anyone know?

Crescent Energy is selling non-core assets in legacy basins as it works to complete a foundational Permian Basin acquisition.

Crescent agreed to sell its Barnett Shale assets and conventional assets in the Rockies and Midcontinent for over $700 million, the company said in third-quarter earnings. The deals are expected to close by the end of the year.

Looks like the seller is Crescent Energy

52 week high on nat gas. More export facilities come in and Russia remains in the doghouse will be huge

Going to see the natural gas m&a start heating up, most likely. I mean beyond haynesville where it already has been moving.

Haynesville is expected to make up that 8-10BCFD that will be needed in the next 4-6 years to meet the NGL feedstock needs.

You think Russia actually stays in the doghouse?

Hard for me to believe.

6.9 million metric tonnes shipped to Europe alone in October. Continued strong demand for U.S LNG in a hungry market amid Russia-Ukraine conflict and Middle East uncertainty.

And yet WaHa pricing is still trash.

But that is caused by regional factors? Local supply outstripping local demand due to continued oil drilling in the Permian that produces the associated gas and pipeline bottlenecks.

And the Trump administration's deregulation of the permitting process should make it easier to build midstream infrastructure and reduce those bottlenecks?

It wouldn't appear so, but Waha has been pretty bullish this Nov for what has been another high maintenance month. Last month's nosedive clearly spooked some of the marginal, gassier producers.

Have you seen the videos of all their infrastructure getting bombed?

Unless you have skids ready to go, I would venture the wells and pipelines are toast. So you are starting mostly from scratch on all of their infrastructure.

I would assume that's at least 5-10 years AFTER the war stops (peace treaty signature date, not day of stopping shooting).

Midstream infrastructure projects expected to be completed in 2026 are supposed to relieve some bottlenecks, but Williams estimates continued deficits in takeaway capacity as infrastructure is not keeping pace with demand

https://naturalgasintel.com/news/midstream-giant-williams-cautions-natural-gas-demand-could-further-outpace-pipeline-capacity/

I am curious why Waha pricing is bullish despite the high maintenance levels reducing takeaway capacity. But some say it's due to early weather-driven demand, since demand is highest in the winter and the main source of heating for commercial and residential buildings, along with local marginal suppliers decreasing production

Baytex sells Eagle Ford asset for $2.3 Billion -WOW that's high - anyone know who got it?

Baytex Energy is exiting the U.S. Eagle Ford by selling its assets to an undisclosed buyer for $2.305 billion in cash. This strategic move will refocus the company on its Canadian operations, which include heavy oil and Duvernay plays

They have a sponsor with a lower cost of capital than your typical private equity backed team, so they've been very competitive and aggressive. I personally don't think they're built to on board/manage this many new assets at once, but we'll see.
