No, there's not, and that's why I think it was a crap thing to do ahead of weekend vs. just calling Xi up and ripping his ass a new one at 3pm.

I just wrote down all of today's lows for each of my positions. Given the discussions we all have been having regarding a potential market correction, I'm thinking I'm going to use today's lows as my stops. I'm not a chart guy (working on it), so this seems like as good a place as any to start my conversion to a more conservative cash position.

Not really a preponderance of high beta stocks. And my true losses will probably be higher than that by the end of the day, because a $1.2 million retirement account doesn't reconcile until the end of the day. Sucks.

Appreciate the advice. I've seen a great run-up over the last couple of years and especially the last couple of months, even including today's loss (except that SMCI dog!). All my positions have rebounded from today's lows (so far). Since I've been thinking about moving more into a cash position, I'm good with setting these stops even if they end up being pretty tight.

Yep, which is why I am not panicking even after what is going to be a 6 figure loss on the day. Does it suck to see after that chugging up the hill so hard since April? Yeah. Is it all based on an unforced error by both China and Trump that can be corrected? Yeah.

Do I wish I had sold everything at 9:30 this morning so that I could watch this drop and then buy back in at close? Yeah. Oh hell yeah.

But the sun will rise again tomorrow and the odds that the world's 2 most powerful countries will continue stepping on each other's ds vs cooperate and make money are low in my book. Look at what happened after April. And I know Trump is obsessed with the markets looking good, so some more tough talk and then a backpedal seems rather likely in my book.

I'd feel better if China gave a damn about its own people or they had any real mechanism to fight Xi and company.

We cant let Xi have Taiwan no matter what we have to do
