Lol at your first point. Completely misquoting what I said about going net free. I said it was a psychological move more than anything, and that you COULD lose the money on the next trade. Which is true.

And yes, I dislike stops because they have bitten me in the past with flash dips. That's not hubris, that's just how I trade.

With the charts that I look at…this is feeling like it could drop a bit more…

We'll see it's just Monday still plenty of week left…but if the DOW drops under 46.5k then it might keep going a bit more from there….the middle BB for the most part has been a good resistance line for most of the year…

Edit: crap it's Tuesday….ok so tomorrows hump day it'll have a little more pertinence….

ABAT and ATLX cleared me out. I had a small account with $15k in it, ran up to $20k, ended up selling with $1,500 left. I've worked it back up to about $3,000, but it was a pride swallowing couple of years.

I was day trading options and doing really well when I was keeping position sizes to a reasonable amount. Primarily oil stocks when oil was ping-ponging $3-5/day. I believe my final stock that wiped my account out was EXXI...some drilling outfit in the Gulf IIRC. Then when I doubled down at the ATM and REALLY got stupid, I was day trading UVXY options. Again...good for awhile, then complete collapse. When I wrote a $15,000 line of credit check against my Chase Visa...I realized I had a problem and that was that.

I took it on the chin with PINS but I'm going to hold. AI seems to think it has been oversold. No red flags in management or the balance sheet.

Cashed in some UNG when it went over 14 today. I'll jump back in if we see low 12s or high 11s again. It's been a lot slower than the fun stocks but steady profits for those with patience (or so I keep telling myself).

Not sure what's hitting the wire with BULL but it's moving on the up right now maybe in reaction to HOOD. IDK yet.

Sometimes it correlates, sometimes it doesnt. JPY might try and make a move to the same area that we had the Aug 2024 and March/April 2025 equities selloffs. Would coincide with a swift move down in DXY. The correlation exists for the past couple of years. But the years preceding had an inverse correlation. So it's there until it isn't.
