If I remember correctly they jacked it up to like 2 something. Banking on people not selling and moving to ibit due to taxes. Alot of people ended up selling anyways and they lowered.

I talked to someone at blackrock several months ago about doing an inkindtransfer from btc to ibit. They said that would only be allowed for institutions…

I picked IBIT because I'd rather be on the devils side

It's also more liquid for both shares and options. Doesn't matter until it does. Then you're glad it is.

I prefer FBTC due to how they approach custody

I've debated this with myself a lot. I don't like Coinbase for certain reasons. But they have more custodial experience over fidelity. But fidelity has more experience in fiduciary responsibility. I eventually landed to HAs point. Liquidity to me is King.

FBTC's options market is really terrible. I started in FBTC because of their approach to custody but switched to IBIT to sell CCs

ISM came in high, we'll above 50 and many of the crypto talking heads including Tom Lee, Raoul Pal and others believe thats what crypto follows, even beyond the 4 year cycle

Tom Lee down $6 billion on his ETH position. Nice!

Do we have anything to worry about with tokenization? This thing sounds ominous.

Sounds like the banks dont want to compromise on yield.

How bad does that hurt ethereums potential? Pretty bad i think

Banks will have to adopt or die. Ethereum won't be impacted. This whole issue shows how ethereum and stable coins at large can't be ignored by the banks anymore. Ultimately I believe it'll come down between banks and US Treasury

A no yield rulling will take a bite out of ethereums potential imo. Kinda of a no brainer to move to yield bearing, treasury backed stablecoins over a savings account earning .01%

Take away yield and then it rely just makes since if you're ina foreign country who's currency is wildly losing value

You could just have tokenized mioney markets at that point. It's not going to stop it. Crazy thing to me is it doesn't matter what the banks want. Why are the part of this discussion anyways. What leverage do they have to try and take peoples yield. It's literally theft.

Currently if you hold USDC in your own wallet you don't get any yield. You can get some of the yield if you hold it on Coinbase and "stake" it. So peoples yield is already being siphoned off anyways.

Banks donate millions to politicians. Banks are people too

Otherwise it's a no brainer. Do whats best for citizens. We dont live in that world

Alot of alts at all time lows. As they should be IMO. There's so much trash in this market that needs to go to zero

Agree the alts need to go to zero. We need a new term for useless alts. Too many say alts but mean, anything but BTC

I bought a small position once I heard about their partnership with the DTCC. That's a LARGE volume partner. I need to do research about tokenomics and how token holders benefit from the utility. If anyone has the TLDR please let me know

I did find it odd that the token didn't pump until days after the announcement. Very weird for crypto. Usually you see a front run pump on news like this because other people know before us peons

There was no premine. So all supply is being earned via validators right now. I'm not 100% sure on long term tokenomics either. The founders had to buy their tokens from the market place. Albeit a really good price.

I thibk because all the tokens are being mined the liquidity on the few exchanges it's listed on is pretty low. Also don't think many are aware of it.

Does anyone use the Ocean Mining Pool for their ASICS? I just started about 6 weeks ago. I know this has a higher overall variance that most pools, but we haven't pulled a block in over 4 days. Pool around 14 EH which isn't huge but the global hashrate has been down too.

You're right. It's just gambling. Maybe worse but the flipside it's necessary to flesh out technologically what works and what doesn't I suppose for some of it

Bought a sizable position in canton, the economics are pretty simple, validations burn coins and mint capped at 2.5 bill per year. Current price implies about 475 million transactions a year, once you get up to 100's of billion transactions a year you can really see the take off to double or triple digits. 1 trillion transactions a year would yield a $1000 cc price. And that's just at equilibrium without speculation.
