During the AWS issue, I heard numerous ETH apps experienced lags or outages.

I know little about HBAR, but it seemed to be the only crypto that had no issues due to something called asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance. It also seems that some of these altcoins are receiving ETF status. Maxis will have to forgive me for not being as caught up on crypto as others.

When Dimond uses the word "crypto", what should we take from that? Is he speaking in general terms or does he have a preference? Being a banker, I can only imagine he is talking about stablecoins or a centralized crytpo solution.

Those first two things are completely unrelated. The first is just an app. The second is how the blockchain does consensus.

The eth blockchain was unphased by the aws outage. Just some apps people made to interact with the blockchain. But that's not unique to eth. You likely only heard about eth because most blockchains have little interactive activity.

I'll post this again, this is a must watch if you're trying to understand what the big boys are talking about.
