How would y'all go about selling silver coins? Don't want to sell back to a dealer because it's taxed, would rather sell to a private individual, but many people are hesitant because they can't verify its real.

I am your guy I am a coin collector not a silver hoarder so I can appraise and I normally pay more than most because I am not a reseller just a buyer

How useful is technical analysis when looking at the silver chart and how/where can I learn about technical analysis? I have a basic understanding that silver is bumping up against resistance in the low $28 range and it's my understanding that if it can get above that mark it should start setting higher highs.

If it does break out, it will have a new resistance level but you may not have support? How does one find the support level? This is fascinating to watch.

Not a good deal and not a good reputable seller haha. What are you looking for? I can help you find a good deal.

Technical analysis can be useful for silver. However it's hard to tell sometimes when the shorts pile on a full years worth of silver production on the market in one day and it throws everything off. Right now $28 is the resistance. It needs to hold that level for 2-3 days and then it will become support. I get a lot of my technical analysis from guys on YouTube like Chris Marcus from Arcadia economics and a few others. I do a little analysis of my own but I'm no expert.

Figured it was too good to be true.

Just dabbling in physical silver. Maybe give as gifts for milestone bday's etc as well as a hedge against printing of money.

Whatever is the best bang for the buck? I have perused the eBay pages of all the companies listed on page one. Just a little overwhelming with all the choices.

Cheap really cool 10 oz bar from great mint. Also you can use CC on this purchase. It saves you money if your CC has cash back or rewards.

I think the best bang for your buck right now is the British Britannias at JM bullion. You get a government minted coin that is very recognizable and easy to liquidate when you go to sell. It's at a pretty good price considering today's premiums. If you pay via check or E-check, you can get a great price. Never pay via credit card unless it's on eBay. If you buy from an actual website, you'll usually get a 3-3.5% discount if you pay via check/E-check or bank wire. I always do E-check.

Fun story: I spent two summers on my banana seat, one-speed bike exchanging rolls of coins at the four banks in my hometown extracting junk silver that made its way back into circulation....this was in the early to mid seventies. I also bought junk silver with every penny of savings I had accumulated from relatives' birthday gifts etc. About the same time, my father became disabled and my parents became financially desperate. Around nine months later the Hunt's did their thing and I sold everything I had at 30 times face...and paid off my parents mortgage for them at the age of 12.

Junk silver continues to hold a special place in my heart.

That is so awesome!

If you like it to smash $2k/oz you'll love it when Schiff predicts government's will revalue gold to $100k/oz to wipe out debt and to return to sound money.

The squeeze is taking place as we speak. 35 million ozs of silver is being requested for delivery for the month of May on the COMEX. That is a goood size number. You squeeze the comex, it squeezes SLV.

Anyone buying the US MINT releases over the next few weeks? Not directly for silver stacking implications, but numismatic value could be really high for these. Got 5 of the Carson City Morgans earlier this week before they sold out, and are already selling for 3-4x on ebay. I'll probably sell 1 to get most of my money back and keep the rest.

Hoping to get the Peace Dollar, although sounds like they might be the hardest of all.

Pres Trump signed a bill into law to remake certain coins for the 100th year anniversary of the conclusion of the morgan dollar. These are 2021 CC privy morgans that went on sale this week and sold out in 20 mins. Buy directly from the US MINT.

Heres the product schedule, next release is June 1.

Scottsdale takes insane amounts of time to ship.

Monument has decent premiums and quicker turnaround. Similar with apmex, jm, bold.

You can buy from Scottsdale's eBay page and may get it quicker.

Yeah, Scottsdale's eBay page shipping was super fast. I ordered the chunky loaf on 5/20 and received it on 5/24 (that was over a weekend as well).

Now I wish I had bought a lot more of those loafs though, because they seem to be sold out and are selling for much more than I paid.

I don't know the first thing about metals, but I bought three gold American eagle coins from an aunt a few years ago for $1100 each to be nice. Are they worth anything today?
Yeah, around $1800-1900/ounce.

That $3300 you spent a few years back is worth $5700 at today's spot price. Pretty good return.
