Sounds good. I watched the YouTube video this morning, definitely intrigued.
This may not be relevant to you, but I knew this was the right product for me because I stopped opening Quicken. I've tried many solutions and every time I was testing a solution I was still using Quicken on the side because I just couldn't break away from it.

I haven't opened Quicken in a couple of weeks and the only reason I still did after first setting up Tiller was to confirm I had captured all of our bills for Tiller's Bill Tracker and wasn't missing something.

Anyway, I'll stop being a homer now.
That's me w/ YNAB. I'd probably run both in parallel for a couple months until I was totally satisfied.

I'm a total budget dork tho.

FYI - MS has announced that Money in Excel is being retired and they are pushing people to Tiller. Money in Excel was basically a basic version of what Tiller has built out and fully supports.

Hey, YouBet, do you have a 2023 version of this topic yet? I looked but didn't find it.

I'm taking over care of my parents' paperwork and think I need help.

My father has been "keeping books" in an old black ledger book, but he was really only keeping up with their checking account. They have several investments and things that I'd like to be able to watch in one convenient place.

I'm looking for recommendations. I'm considering online software that automatically pulls everything, but I worry about security.
If I’m posting, it’s actually Mrs GeographyAg.

Interested in reviving this discussion. I signed up for Tiller free trial last night and downloaded the excel sheet with Tiller data plug in.

I have major hesitation linking all of my financial accounts to Tiller, regardless if they have the best of intentions.

I'm interested in hearing how others put personal finance into practice. My biggest hurdle is going from past expenses to a go forward basis of savings/budget.

I have not done one. I got busy with work. Maybe I'll do that this weekend. However, I'm still on Tiller and don't see myself leaving it as I now received a free year of it for being a power user. What I will at least do is post some updated Pros and Cons for it later now that I'm a year into it.

For the last two posts on data security, totally get that but almost any decent personal financial software pulls all of your accounts into it and acts as an aggregator. There is really no way around that other than to vet each companies practices with that, or you track it all manually.

And there is no way on God's green earth that I'm tracking this manually. That might be feasible if you just had a checking account and that was about it but the older you get the more complex things get, generally. Manually won't work for me.

Chase used to allow the statement transactions to be downloaded as a CSV or xls file.

I am not finding how to download any way except PDF.

Anybody else have that issue?

What about Rocket Money? Barely a mention on in a Texags search..but wife had Rocket suggested to her and she is all in after one day.

CaptnCarl, you've likely figured in the past month, but I just downloaded via excel on a couple of accounts this week. However wasn't very useful for my current use as categories were generic.
