"I Will Teach You to be Rich" - Ramit Sethi. Contrary to how it sounds, it's good foundational personal finance and investing that is geared towards 20 somethings dealing with the unique challenges that age group is facing. If you can gift it in Audible, even better because it might actually get listened to.

Millionaire Teacher by Andrew Hallam is a good read. I used to buy copies of it for my high school seniors on the soccer team.

This has been my choice with my kids.

Is also recommend telling her to follow Personal Finance Club on Instagram. He's big on spend less then you earn, invest in index funds (and leave it), etc. He does do clinics but even said they are boring because he's just says to invest in index funds and hold.

That's a 9.6% rate of return in years 30-40. Not adjusted for inflation… yeah I don't trust those numbers.

His example shows the power of compounding and investing. It's marketing to get you excited about making money. It's not an age/risk management example. Just trying to show young people you can be a millionaire at 60 if you invest at 20 in the simplest ways.

Also, 250/month is peanuts compared to what needs to be squared away for retirement. Two people maxing out their 401ks at 20k a year will be able to comfortably reach an small retirement nest egg at 45 and a big one at 55 if they start at 22.
