My Cirro Energy contract that had me locked in at like 4 cents per kWh has expired. They didn't renew me via the online portal (gave no options other than to call). I called and they said they'd call me back. Not a big deal of an electricity bill -- 3600 sf and a bill of around 200/mo.

Where is the best place to buy electricity? Power to choose has no really good options.

One of the things I have added over the past year was a small Ethereum mining rig in the back running at 2400 W. So this no contract thing could get expensive (-;

Where's the good deals on electricity??

Energy prices have sky rocketed. Prepare thy anus. Mine just expired and Energyogre put me on one that is noticeably more expensive.

Before TDU I was getting 5cents I believe. Now it's 7.5cents plus TDU. This summer is going to suck. Have to keep the wife from cranking down the AC.

I just received my new Energy ogre contact tonight. Went from paying 8 to 17. Unreal

The only thing worse than paying $.17/kWh is paying for a service to get you that rate.

I'm fully aware that energy has gone up, but not that high. Drop EO if that's the best they can do

I looked on power to choose yesterday after receiving the notice. The best I found was .13 but that was for 36 months. I'm not sure I want to be locked in that long. Any ideas where else to look?

Go look at a chart of this summer or CY23 ERCOT prices. Texas > cheap electricity is over. For now.

If you know your monthly usage (should show a 12mo summary on your bill) use www.texaspowerguide.com to input your usage and it'll spit out a best recommendation.

At the very least, extended high prices will help pay back solar panels for some.
