I'm part owner of a small new beef jerky brand. We are currently in around 50 heb stores and about to expand into all of them. We also just on boarded with Cisco distribution. Product has been well received and sales are strong, but skyrocketing beef input costs have been a real challenge, causing us to pivot away from the cut we were using to a slightly cheaper one.
We could not have had more bullets fired at us if we set up on a rifle range with trying to build out the plant during covid and the shell shocking beef price rise, but I'm very hopeful we will emerge stronger for it, albeit somewhat setback from initial milestones at this point.
