I didn't think I would still be in cash at this point so I really didn't shop around much at the beginning of the year and just threw everything into AMEX; as noted above it's paying 3.0% and will probably bump up again since they typically lag Citi by a week or two.

At the end of the day I'll take a 2% return on a HYSA for 2022 versus a 15-20% loss if I had stayed invested, no big deal.

I use M1 Finance for my long-term investment portfolio and as a secondary checking account. My checking account gets me 3% APY and they're releasing a savings account option at 4.5% APY next year.

You do need a paid subscription to open a checking account and eventually a savings account upon its release, but at $125/year, I feel that it's well worth it.
