The necessity of this aside, I'm perpetually confused by their subs. I have "Premium Career" for $29.99 per month through Apple.

My wife is paying $39.99 through LinkedIn for "Essentials". Premium Career is not even a thing on LI website. It looks like the equivalent to what I have is now called "Pro" which is $64 per month.

Am I on a grandfathered plan? I can't believe their sub is $64 per month for what I have?!

Quit your subscription. You will be asked why. Check the "it's too expensive box"

You will be offered a few months of discounted prices.

Or just cancel it. I had it when job hunting but canceled after.

My plan was $40. I think plans for people recruiting go for more with other features.

There's different subscriptions for different needs. For example, my wife has access to a sub through her work that allows her to look up any company and it will tell her who the decision makers are for each product line, notes on them, etc

Well, we are both general consumers so it's odd that I what I see is different than what she sees. I can only assume I have some older sub I got through Apple that no longer is around.

Do the paid plans get you more or less of the "here's a kid with cancer" or "here's a poor kid that went to college" or "I got over my sex/drug/drinking addiction and look at me now" likes and reposts?

Ha. It may get you more. It's a cesspool of a platform at this point but I actually do use it for consulting purposes primarily being a channel for contacting and being contacted. I post nothing.

Probably going to kill my wife's sub though. She doesn't use it.

In case you served, they give Premium for free for veterans, I just have to email them every November and they re-up the sub with no questions asked.
