Huge PITA going on over there right now and I have two containers that are kind of stuck in customs limbo hell. Already racked up over $15k in demurrage and crap and still hitting roadblocks. Easier to discuss and go into detail by phone, but looking for someone in India that may be able to get this crap sorted out and help get the containers sent back to China.

The Port of LA/Long Beach, starting September 1, will consider Saturday and Sunday to be working days and will count these days against free time allowances. Maher Terminal in NY/NJ will follow suit on September 23. Translation: more demurrage charges

That isn't my issue in all of this. We've been pretty good about navigating the supply chain constraints. This is a "Who the **** is in charge?" situation with customs

Trust me…I've tried the "gift" route.

I've learned to stop caring about freight so much but I understand your pain. It's so out of your control and everyone thinks their container is the most important. I've learned so much about trade routes these past two years and every single shipping/freight acronym and term. Also, every company thinks that they're freight forwarder is the best and can pull miracles which I've never found to be true.

Does your container have dangerous goods in it? Is the port in Mundra? Have you contacted a local freight forwarder in India to help you? Or a global one for that matter (with connections in India)?

Have had 3 crates/pallets stuck in Egyptian customs since April. Our project has pushed 4 times due to this.

No help, but I feel your pain!
