I'm just here to vent.

I am so annoyed right now. I deposited a stale-dated check into my personal checking account. The check was written from my Capital One business account. The check doesn't say on it that it is "void after X days". My business account had sufficient funds to cover the check. The bank cleared the check on my business account and the deposit is sitting in my personal checking.

The bank then decides to put a freeze on EVERY SINGLE one of my personal deposit accounts because of this stale dated check being deposited. This is our personal checking, savings, and then each of our three kids' accounts. Payments are being rejected because the accounts are frozen.

The check was deposited on 9/7. I didn't find out that my deposit accounts had been frozen until today when I got a payment rejection notice from someone I paid. They did not send me an e-mail, a text message, nor did anyone call me.

They inundate me with promotional offers but can't be bothered to get in touch before freezing my accounts?

UGH!

I don't pay any fees any any of the banks I use. That said, I would almost certainly close these accounts and move them over to Frost if it wasn't such a pain in the rear end to change my auto pay set up on so many accounts. But I may do it anyway.

Frost is superior in so many ways over capital one. It's better than Chase, too.

Had bad experiences with Cap One years ago.

I avoid them like the plague.
