Was just thinking about this while reading the GOOG thread.

Considering a strengthening of my position in it.

thinking about jumping back in if it gets down to 87

I bought at $120 so my thoughts are for it to come back, please.

Price is basically down to 2x Sales - that's the lowest that ratio has been in 5+ years for them I think. Not saying it can't go lower from here as the market pulls back over the next year or so, but long-term the fundamental story here is still very, very much intact for whatever that's worth to any given investor.

Just don't forget that today's price is based on expected future sales/revenue. If amazon has been selling 10% more each year for the last 5 years, and only sells 5% more this year, that price could drop further. Just because it's low doesn't mean it can't go lower. Should be a good buy long term since it's difficult to compete with them, but it can definitely go lower with a recession.

I think Amazon was at around $5 in 2001

imagine what you would be worth if you bought back then.

everyone is talking the stock down, but not sure how much of that is from traders looking at the 6 month to one year trade versus those holding for the next decade

the AWS cloud business is the most profitable, but I have to believe that Bezos will be able to come back strong over the next 3-5 years. who can compete with Amazon at their level?

Wouldn't holiday shopping already be baked into the evaluation? And isn't holiday shopping this year anticipated to miss targets/expectations?

Strengthened to an even round of each AMZN and AAPL today. Ended up being an acquisition of about 30 shares of each.

Want to do the same for GOOGL but a little more wary.
