I tend to agree. I haven't done a deeper dive into it yet, but I remember seeing a chart that FAANG absolutely exploded their headcounts during covid and have yet to shed the covid weight.

Also, I think that the rest of tech will not be taking as deep of cuts as Elon at twitter. Elon went fully private and is okay with his work hard reputation. He gutted overhead departments that are sacrosanct to the rest of tech.

Google would be more likely to cycle through low level engineers and layoff whole project teams than drastically cut their DEI, HR, admin, and middle manager headcount.

I bought some recently.
Personally, I really like the stock for long term hold.

Good company that provides active managing of portfolios rather than passive management. Provides great dividend, too.

It's down ~88% from its ATH back in August as a result of the recent bloodbath in 'growth' stocks. As the market rebounds, I predict TROW will rebound healthily too.

Same in CSTAT. Their coffee is good, too. Better than Starbucks imo.

From my experience Dutch Bros has a very cultish following it seems like. I was never impressed with it - I don't think they serve just a black coffee (I could be remembering wrong).

Black coffee is what I mostly drink and the ones at DB I've had locally are far superior to SBux and cheaper to boot.

Taste is subjective I'm sure, but their success does not surprise me based on my experience with them.

Huh? I dropped other coffee houses including Starbucks for Dutch. They serve a variety of hot and cold drinks. They are relatively fast, friendly and make a good cup of coffee. They also have a goal of 4,000 stores in the us and seem to know how to replicate their service and product. Consistency and well trained

That is not good. Sorry to hear that. Earnings will be out in March, so we will see how it fairs. It's not in typical wheel house, but it caught my eye based on the 2022 dividend.

My biggest problem with Dutch Bros is it felt like I was getting a psychiatrist session every time I went. I just want a coffee, not a 10 minute conversation while I'm waiting.

This confuses me. Purple or green hair? "That's valid?" Wtf are you trying to explain here? I've never experienced any of that in Idaho. It's incredibly popular here, more than any other coffee option by far, and there are 3 or 4 other options with exact same type of system that never have lines, while Dutch bros lines are always 5-10 cars deep and yet the waits are minimal. And it's one of the only places in Boise that doesn't always have desperate help wanted signs all over (other is chic fil a), which says something about how it's run, IMO. Even more significant considering these kids are outside continuously when temps break 100 degrees in the summer almost daily and often single digits or teens in the winter, and always always have a great attitude and seem genuinely happy to be there. The criticism of the employees of Dutch bros on here is beyond ridiculous. Apparently being polite and nice to customers is considered a negative.
