Getting screwed over by a custom home builder in Houston and need some legal help. It's got to go through arbitration most likely.

It's a 20-25k dispute but realistically I doubt if I can even get half of that. Anyone have a recommendation for a decent lawyer to write a mean letter?

There's been a few WSJ articles on that subject since the pandemic started, and the homeowner usually loses.

If you dont have $100,000 pot its a waste of time.
These cases take 1 year you give up 40% then pay tax.

If you get $20,000 you might keep $10,000

I'm aware it's an uphill battle.

It's just so frustrating having the specifications clearly defined and the builder refusing to honor the equal or better provisions.

There is also a rebate that they refuse to honor because of their own incompetence.

If it wasn't for the arbitration provision, both should be slam dunk wins in a fair court.

Learning some expensive lessons on this.

At least the house is done and it's mine and Im not at risk of ending up like those horror stories from the news.
