Bot BAC on Monday, other than wishing I had bought on Tuesday I feel OK. Back in 2009 I loaded up on BAC in my 401-K and it was in the $5 range. I wish I had bot twice what I did buy but I can't complain. I rarely sell, my basis on Apple is around $8, Amazon about $325.

Been holding large cash balance to understand some home reno work and only buying to get match in wife's 401k.

Now that I know what the home reno is going to cost me I'm going to not do that and start looking at how and when I deploy cash.

Home Reno Assumptions:

Wife - X
Me - 2X
Contractor - 3x

Take the contractor's assumption and multiply by 1.5x. You'll be lucky to get out at that price.

I have about 27% of my 401K in stable value or bonds that I acquired over the last 6 months or so, so the bond prices were down between 10 and 13% from January 2022.

I moved about 20% of that total into the S&P recently on day that closed at like 3855

We are retired and holding what we have. We are 70/30 stocks to fixed income. That ratio is what got us both retired before 60, so why stop now.
