HRC are the biggest LGBTQ advocacy/activist organization in the country. Every year they release a Corporate Equality Index (CEI) that awards a score to businesses based on the policies HRC demands they implement related to LGBTQ issues. Every year they add more demands and these Fortune 500 companies strive to get a perfect rating of 100 by meeting those demands.
Look closely at 2022's "Transgender Healthcare Benefits" criteria and then the new criteria for 2023.
When the new ratings are released just know that any company that scores 100 has signed onto and by virtue of capitulating to HRC's demands, explicitly supports puberty blockers for minors and their insurance plan is covering it. They couldn't get a perfect rating if they didn't.
Think about that, the largest and most successful companies in America are signing onto offering a benefit where there employees can use their healthcare coverage to put their child on puberty blockers even though we have no long term data on this, the data we do have show irreparable harm being caused and every European country that has attempted this has stopped because of the detriment this has caused to kids.
Not only that look at the other criteria they also must include as covered on insurance. Facial feminization surgery as a medical necessity? Travel and lodging expenses?
This should be a huge story, please help to make it one by sharing this information. Any company that signs onto this should be held accountable for the irreparable harm this is going to cause. If this isn’t the hill to die on I don’t know what is.
